EMMA!! My little fashion queen all the way from Harrison High School in Kennesaw, GA. Creating Emma's senior portraits was so much fun. Every outfit she put on was straight out of a style catalog or fashion magazine. Oh, did I mention she wants to study apparel merchandising and marketing? Yeah, she's gonna do just fine!
The outfits she chose for her senior session were full of variety and so were her images! We went from natural field shots to a dirt road to a parking garage rooftop for those big blue sky images to city sidewalks and on to an empty parking lot with her awesome white Jeep and Auburn football jersey. Yep, she's gonna be an Auburn girl.
I asked Emma's mom to tell us a little story about her childhood. This is one of the best ones we've gotten from a parent. I laughed so hard and knew immediately before even meeting Emma that I would love her!
"When Emma was in Kindergarten, each student in class received a pile of buttons to sort. The teacher didn't tell them how to sort the buttons -- each child got to determine that. Most children sorted their buttons by color or by ones with holes and without holes. However, Emma's sorting looked a little different than the rest. When the teacher asked Emma how she was sorting her buttons, she said "Oh, that's simple. These are elegant buttons and these are casual buttons." That was an indicator of my future apparel merchandising major."
Isn't it cool how we are so uniquely made? Even back in kindergarten Emma already had a sense of who she was. I just love that.
Because we had so many people ask where Emma's outfits came from during her behind the scenes session story over on our Instagram I thought I'd include where you could find them here :)
